JOB FEED FORMAT INFORMATION 

 

 

MINIMUM REQUIRED VARIABLES:


1.  Job ID:  Required - Your internal Job ID number (numberic or alphanumeric)
2.  Job Title:  Required (no HTML)
3.  Job City:  Required (one city per job posting)
4.  Job State:  Required (two-letter state abbreviation)
5.  Zip Code:  Required (first 5 only)
6.  Company Name:  Required
7.  Apply to URL:  Required (this will be the URL on your site where the job seeker can apply to the position)
8.  Apply to Email:  Required  (but will defer to the specified URL if one is provided)
9.  Job Description:  Required (HTML is okay - candidates will view the job on our site and apply via email or specified URL)

 

 

ACCEPTABLE DATA FORMATS:
 
CSV: (comma separated values)
Example: "JOB123","Sales Manager","Atlanta","GA","ABC Corp"," http://www.website.com/etc","This is the job description."
Notes: With CSV, any double-quotes ( " ) in the fields need to be "escaped" (repeated twice), so that "example" would become ""example"". There should be no line-breaks within the data, only at the end of each line.

 

XML: (<tag>data</tag> format)
Example: <JOB><JobID>JOB123</JobID><JobTitle>Sales Manager</JobTitle><JobCity>Atlanta</Job City><JobState>GA</JobState><JobCompany>ABC Corp</JobCompany><JobUrl> http://www.website.com/etc</JobUrl><JobDescription> This is the job description.</JobDescription></JOB>
Notes:  There should be no line-breaks within the data, only at the end of each line.


Double-Carat-Pipe: (^^ separated fields, || separated records)
Example: JOB123^^Sales Manager^^Atlanta^^GA^^ABC Corp^^ http://www.website.com/etc^^  This is the job description||
Notes: This is the easiest format to use if you do not have a CSV or XML generator.


OTHER:  If you already have the ability to export data in a variation of one of the above formats, or any other format, we may be able to accept your current feed format.  As an example, if you already export job data to any other site in any format that has a minimum of the above required fields, send us a sample of a few jobs in your current format as an Email attachment to jon@insuranceworkforce.com and we will see if it can be used. 

  
All jobs must be in every feed.  Our system automatically deletes any of your jobs that are no longer in your feed, automatically adds any new jobs in your feed and automatically checks for modifications on all other jobs in your feed.      

 

 

TRANSMISSION METHODS:


There are three simple ways to transfer your feed to InsuranceWorkforce.com:

 

1.  A program on your server generates and returns the feed when our robot calls your script (daily).
2.  You generate a feed into a static file on your web server, and our robot spiders the file daily.
3.  We can set up an FTP area on our server and you can FTP the file to our server.
