The American Insurance Association (AIA) is the leading property - casualty insurance trade organization, representing more than 450 insurers that write more than $115 billion in premiums each year. Canadian Life and Health Insurance Association Inc.

The Canadian Life and Health Insurance Association (CLHIA), established in 1894, is a voluntary trade association that represents the collective interests of its member life and health insurers. The Association's membership accounts for some 98 per cent of the life and health insurance in force in Canada and administers about two-thirds of Canada's pension plans.
